We are so happy to have you here, we’re Kayla and Nicola.

Coastal Wanderers began back in 2022, when we were just two friends who shared a love of the coast, long summer days, and a dream of creating something meaningful. With nothing more than a small printer in the loungeroom, we started experimenting, pressing designs late into the night and dreaming about where it could go.

Soon the lounge room was too small, so we shifted into the laundry, then into a bedroom, and now after years of growth we’re about to take the next leap into our own home shed studio, right alongside our in ground pool. Each move has felt like a chapter in a bigger story, one stitched together by salt, sand, and a whole lot of heart (And maybe a few tears along the way).

At the centre of this journey is Kayla’s son, Acre, now 4 years old. Acre was the spark behind it all because finding clothing that were his vibe was so hard. What started as a hunt for clothes that felt right for him grew into the idea of a brand that could celebrate individuality and the coastal lifestyle we both love so much.

As the years rolled on, so did life. Our friendship grew into love, and alongside Coastal Wanderers, our family grew too. Together we’ve walked through the challenges of IVF, the joy of raising Acre, and the wild ride of running a small business from home. Each struggle and success has shaped Coastal Wanderers into more than just a label it’s become a piece of our family story.


Our mission has always been bigger than clothing.
We want to empower the next generation to “Make Waves” to live boldly, to be kind, to stand up for what they believe in, and to embrace the things that make them unique. We know our clothing won’t change the world, but the children (and their families) wearing them might.

From kids home made tee’s to full family collections, Coastal Wanderers has grown because of the community around us families like yours who share our love of the sea, the sun, and the freedom that comes with coastal living.

For us, this brand isn’t just a business.
It’s our heart.

It’s late nights packing orders, it’s salt water and sand between our toes, it’s the laughter of our son running in the backyard, and it’s the belief that small ripples can grow into waves of change.
